Busy Busy Week

This past week was incredibly busy for both Me and Carter.

I was in charge of the Vacation Bible School (VBS) at our church and although it was successful it was exhausting!!! All I did all week long was was work, then go straight to do VBS stuff, but then I got home and worked on more stuff for the next days VBS. We had about 45 kids ages 3-11 enrolled total, and our highest night had 37 kids which may not seem like many but it is a ton and just the perfect amount for our church with a smaller VBS budget. Our theme was "Roundin up questions, and drivin' home answers" with a western/cowboy theme. We answered questions each day like "who am I" "does God care about me" and "what is God's plan for me?"  Check out the video I made to show the parents on the last day which was awards/bbq night.

Carter was busy in Zorrillo, Mexico with 8 teenagers joining the Vancouver Church of Christ and building 5 homes for families there. He tells me that it was a fantastic time and that both he and the teens were touched by what they saw and had a great time bonding. Carter got to try fish tacos which he says are great and he also got Apple Gatorade, and Flaming hot tostitos which he wishes we had here in the USA! Carter also had a good time going to the mexican market on one of the days and got me pretty bracelets and got himself a mexican sweater and some cool masks.

The house that the Team from our church was working on.
They stayed at a campground in Mexico.
This group built this house for the family in this picture in 3 days. Impressive huh!!
