Family Visit
My mom and sister got to come visit for the weekend and it was great having them visit! This was the first time they have gotten to spend time with Mason since he has become more active with his little personality! We went to Bandon on Saturday and the weather was gourgeous and it was fun browsing all the shops and getting some fresh air. Gigi got to cuddle with M tons and tons and Auntie Shannie got a bunch of his giggles (but never for her camera though). Thanks for coming to visit us and letting us share our sweet boy with you!

Finally a post on Christmas!
I was realizing that I've only been doing good at keeping up with "Wordless Wednesdays" on this blog. It is so hard for me to get my thoughts together enough to write a long post.
This Christmas was so special for us as our first Christmas together as a family of three and we got to share this with Carter's parents and his brother Clayton's family. We were able to spend a week with the Davis' which was spent with plenty of rest and relaxation and a lot of spoiling of Mason.

On the left is Mason's first stocking at his Mamaw's house and Carter's first stocking.
We had tons of cute Christmas outfits for Mason to wear the weeks leading up to Christmas.
We went through Spanaway Lights which is a drive-thru Christmas lights display. Mason slept through the WHOLE thing but I took the picture on the right as proof.
The gingerbread family on the left reminded me of our family!
It is so fun for the cousins to be so close in age!! Mamaw even got the boys matching jammers!
Because Christmas was on a Sunday this year we all got dressed in our Christmas best and headed out the door to sing our praises and celebrate the birth of Jesus.

It was a wonderful Christmas but makes me even more excited for next year when he has a better understanding of what is going on!

We woke up Christmas morning to open up our stockings before getting ready to head to church. Mason and Grayson enjoyed reading a story together.

I don't know why but this picture makes me laugh!!
Carter was more than just a bit excited about his Kindle Fire I got him. He had no idea! Also, because he always peeks at his presents I wrapped it, put in in a bigger box with a towel wrapped around it and a box of hot tamales for sound. Then I duct taped that box closed and then wrapped the duct tape box. This was one present I didn't want him to spoil!
The Christmas aftermath. We all were spoiled!
Mason's first Christmas gift from daddy and mommy was his first teddy bear. We went to build-a-bear and made him special and with love for Mason to enjoy for year's to come.
Mason enjoyed flirting with his Aunt Sarah. Mamaw is teaching Mason how to be a card shark.
It was a wonderful Christmas but makes me even more excited for next year when he has a better understanding of what is going on!

4 Months
- You have figured out that you can use your feet to play with your hanging "friends".
- You began sleeping in your crib in your own room.
- We started off the month rough but I think you just weren't feeling well.
- Daddy made you really laugh 2 times on 1/10 and then once on 1/12, mommy was jealous! However, as the month went on you began to laugh even more, it is adorable especially when you laugh so much you give yourself hiccups!
- You took your first tub in the bathtub bath so you could be in more water and you weren't sure what to think about it at all.
- You have begun grabbing at your feet while laying on your back, you have even taken one of your socks off.
- You have discovered how to fake cough and will do it for quite a while. It is so fun watching you discover this new noise you can make.
- I love going to get you when you wake up in your crib because 75% of the time you will greet me with a huge smile!!
- I also want to remember you fuzz ball hair after baths = )
- This month the adventure of cloth diapers began, there were a lot of leaks in the beginning but now we are doing so much better with it!!
- Your daddy has loved this month because according to him you are "a lot less boring".
- One day this month daddy ate his lunch on the toilet because you were only happy staring at yourself in the mirror.
- You are enjoying getting more wiggly and active so we got you an excersaucer that you are really having fun with.
-You are still in size 1 disposables but not for too much longer. You moved to the medium flow nipple this month and are now eating 6oz about every 3 hours.
- At your 4 month appointment you weighed 14lbs 11oz (50%) and were 25 1/2 inches long (75%). Your head size is as the top of the charts and is as big as a 9 month olds, it must be to fit your super smart brain.
Your daddy and I love you so much. I can't imagine how our life would be without you. We love holding you, singing to you, and listening to you talk back. When you are asleep for too long we start to miss you and can't wait until we scoop you up. Thank you Mason for making our life fuller, happier, and just better overall!!
