These are the moments...

These are the moments I will remember, the moments I've been looking forward to! My kids choosing to play with each other and love on each other without parental motivation!

I love hearing them play with each other, and giggle together, I'm finally able to be more productive as I have more time without having to play constant companion. They actually have little conversations with each other as well. Molly gets so sad when bubba chooses to play in his room or is napping. She comes to me and asks where he is and when I tell her his room she says sadly "get bubba, door locked" which just means that his door is shut and she can't get in.

I will say that the only downside is that with playing, comes arguing, but hey I hear that the arguing will only last for the next 20 or so years so I better get used to it huh! ;)

Kid Free Trip

It was time,

Time for us to leave the kids behind, time to sleep in, time to not have to change diapers or answer a bazillion questions.

We journeyed to Colorado Springs for the National Convention on Youth Ministries. It was nice to be able to get away with each other and recharge....however, we forgot how exhausting it is to listen and be a student all day!

We were so excited to see what our rental car was, only to discover that we left our mini van behind to rent a mini-van. Wohoo (not)

I had dreams of sitting by a fire sipping coffee and reading. I did it! But not quite as often as I had wanted. The whole attending a conference thing kinda got in the way ;)

We ate soooo much while we were away. Seriously like all we did was eat. And it was delicious!

What a blessing to be surrounded by so many people who are in the same ministry as you.

The last event was a lunch together, I seriously think this is a bit of overkill for a bunch of youth ministers who are the least fancy people ever. We all joked around with what we should use first!

When the conference was over we were touristy and went to the Olympic Training Center! Go Team USA! It was really cool being able to see the facilities where so many of our olympians train. We were within feet of some olympic wrestlers and Carter was secretly so excited. He could name and tell me stats of at least 4 of them!

We also visited Garden of the Gods. We originally wanted to hike/walk through it but of course it snowed the day we had been planning to. I know we could have done it in the snow but come on now....it's freezing and wet ;)

In all, it was a great trip, but I was ready to get home to my babies. A huge shoutout to Papaw and Grams for watching our kiddos, Papaw in particular for taking a week off of work to be with them while Grams was working!

These are a few of my favorite things...

~When Molly runs down the hall, but it is a waddle run and she almost runs into the walls as she does it.

~Mason the other day "Molly, you and I are both being sassy this morning".

~ Mason, "Mom, I really like your sweet sweet hugs and kisses"

~ Molly- "all done, me. all done, me." whenever she is done with anything.

~Molly asks for "sella, baby, and boo" and tries to hold all 3 babies at once but obviously can't.

~Mason's knowledge right now is astounding to me. He is already interested in sounding out words to try and read them. He also knows way more about the bible and bible stories then I thought. Sometimes I'll ask him a question not expecting an answer and then "bam" he tells me.

~Molly is starting to really love her friends. She constantly asks about "Hope...Abby....Casseeee" with her head cocked to the side all serious-like.

~ Our dance parties. Mason breaking dancing and Molly bobbing up and down

~ I made pumpkin oatmeal bars and Mason say "mmm mom, these are the best things I've ever eatin' in the world"

~ Molly will cock her head to the side and nod while playing with playfood and ask me "more" or "milk" or "eat" to try and engage me in her play. When she wants you to play she does the same head cock accompanied with "play, play" or pats the floor and says "sit, sit"

~At bedtime Molly doesn't want to sing anything other then Jesus loves me. I will start skidamarink a dink a dink and she will say "no dink, no dink", then I try you are my sunshine, she says "no, no" I ask what song she want to sing and her response is "sus ee" also known as Jesus loves me :)
