9 Months

Somebody did not want to cooperate for his pictures this time. 

Oh my sweet shishkerdoodles. You might just call us the wanderers! We have spent half of this month away from home but now we are home for the summer! You are an absolute traveling trooper though. You adjust well to your surroundings and are a complete people person who enjoys interacting with others and boy do you know how to flirt with the girls = ) Although we have a fairly consistent routine at home I feel as if it is ever changing which probably has to do with the fact that we are hardly ever home. You have had so many "firsts" this month and we get even more excited as more and more happen. I am torn though between encouraging you on to learn more things, and keeping you small and tiny not wanting you to get bigger and older. I suppose this is a dilemma that will always continue until the end of ages!

Here are some highlights of month 9!!!

- We took our first mommy/baby trip together to Yuba City for Uncle Logan's graduation. It only took us 10 hours to get there which was what I had anticipated and you rocked the car trip. It was great getting you to see extended family again and your little personality shown through and everybody loved you. We also said bye to Uncle Logan on his birthday as he left for marine boot camp.

- May 31st, first gaga and dadada sounds!! (mommy was jealous).

-June 3rd, first "No" response which was cute. You were on Mema's lap at a restaurant and you leaned over to eat the table and I said "Mason, No" and you looked up at me and cried." Your first tooth was also noticed today actually by auntie shanny, I didn't even know it was there because you had teethed so well. Then two days later your second one came in. Both of them were your bottom front, the left one then the right.

-June 4th as we were saying bye bye to Gigi as we headed back home you waved your first "bye, bye"! We were so excited and it was just a little bend of the wrist and wiggle of the fingers.

-June 8th, first clap!!

-June 13th at night first time mama. However, you only say it so far as part of your upset cry. You still haven't associated mama or dada with us though, it is still just babble.

-Started feeding yourself in the form of Mum Mums. Although we offered you many other foods you so far have refused to feed yourself anything else. Will drop puffs off the side of your high chair instead of eating them.

-Went to camp Yamhills STS session. This was your "second" year at church camp as I was pregnant with you last summer. You did great and left with many many girlfriends = )

-You got in the Rock before crawling position for the first time on 6/17/12. This was at camp and I quickly got daddy to show him. You also did it during a camp staff meeting and everyone got so excited! Of course you wouldn't repeat it for the camera though stinker!!

-You are such a daddy's boy Mason. If I am holding you and get close to daddy you will dive bomb out of my arms for daddy. Also, if somebody is holding you and daddy comes up and then walks away you will cry. You will do this even if mommy is holding you.

- You are still eating 6oz of formula from a bottle but now only 4x a day. You are eating about 2.5oz of a solid 3x a day with mum mums as snacks, or sometimes a cold snack from your mesh feeder to make your gums feel better. You are still in size 3 diapers although we still primarily cloth diaper. The clothing you are in ranges from 3-6month-9 month clothing, it really just depends!

- Your 9 month appointment went well. You weighed in at 18.5 lbs and are 28 1/2 inches tall. That makes it 25% for weight and 75% for height. Your head is still rather large ranking in the 90th %. Also it was exciting because no shots!!!
