Busyness

Summer is our season of busyness and currently it is crazy. Please excuse our temporary blog hiatus while we sort out or life and try to figure out who's on first!

Teeth

See those two cute little teeth? Well he has two more coming in up top just like those. Poor bubba, those teeth are giving him a rough time this go around. I must say though that he is a wonderful teether and despite a little grumpiness he just gnaws on everything in sight. What a trooper!

10 Months

Wow!! You have made so many new developments this past month that it is unbelievable!! You are "talking" all the time now (especially in church), and you went from not really being mobile at the beginning of the month, just rocking and rocking and rocking to now getting into everything!! You still are not crawling yet, you do this funky scooting thing but it doesn't hold you back at all. We feel like we have been constantly rearranging things away from your little hands. You have a bazillion toys and yet you always head to the 3 things you can't have, the blinds, our computers, and our computer chargers. In fact when we tell you no you smile at us and keep on going, you stinker even have the nerve to look at us with a smirk before going after what you're not supposed to...way to drive us crazy already!!!

Some fun things from this month are:

-You have this new sound you make when you are really excited, it is a gurgly growl??? It is so funny to hear and others say it is interesting but I know it is when you are super happy and we think it is adorable.

-This month you and mommy met Aunt Sarah and Cousin Grayson at the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport. You had fun being out with so many people and got really excited when you saw the big sea lions.
You also were mesmerized by the fish swimming around.

-I don't know what it is about church but you find this the perfect opportunity to chat away loudly. Many people comment that maybe you are going to be a preacher one day.

-Mommy and you spent a week without daddy while he was with the youth group on a Mexico mission trip. We had fun together although we both missed daddy a ton, it was great when he came home!!

-We added many new finger foods now that you love feeding yourself. Some of these include toast, apple, string cheese, blueberries, and plums.

-You participated in swimming lessons for two weeks with mommy. We initially signed you up because you hated the water when taking baths, but you had been enjoying bathtime more when we started. You surprised us though with how excited you were about the water. Almost the entire time you would make your "happy noise"! By the end you were even good with getting "dunked" by your teacher. Maybe you will be the next Michael Phelps???

-In order for us to get you to scoot in the beginning we had to bribe you with the remote control.

- If we ask you if you want to play patty-cake you clap your hands to start it..love this!!

-You have been watching your first Olympics with Mommy and Daddy!

- You signed "more" several times while daddy was gone, but now you refuse to.

-You are drinking 3 6oz bottles a day and 6oz from a straw cup! We are beginning to work on phasing out the bottle as we want to be bottle free shortly after your first birthday.

-You are wearing anywhere from 6 month to 9 month clothes. When we use disposables you are a size 3 but we are still going strong with cloth diapers.
