New Ratties

If you didn't already know, Rats are kinda our thing. Well, they are more so Carter's thing and I really want a dog but the deposit for a dog is $500 so obviously a dog is out of the question. Carter has been asking ever since we moved here when he could get some rats and we finally agreed upon it last week so he bought a cage online and then we made frequent trips to the only (small) pet store in town waiting for baby rats to come in. For those who don't know, the younger they are when you get them the better because the more you handle them, the friendlier they will be. Last Thursday we ended up purchasing three of them all boys. The cage looks huge for them right now but when they are full grown it will be the perfect amount of space. The white one is Axl (for Axl Rose) the Black one is Ozzy (Ozzy Osbourne) and he was going to name the grey one Mick (Mick Jagger), but instead he named the grey one Elvis for me (due to my longtime love of "The King").

Yes this is snow, on the Oregon Coast which is very unusual. But yesterdays weather was super crazy. It was raining, then snowing, then sunny, then rainy again, then it hailed, then went back to sunny, then rainy. I've never seen weather change THAT much in one day, even in Oklahoma.

On a better note, we got Cable yesterday!!!!! We are so incredibly excited about that because we've gone without for a month and a half and it has been so boring and we're sooo tired of watching movies all day long. Now, all we have to do is get internet in our house and life will be complete! It is the lack of internet that attributes to me never posting on here but once we get it I hope to be a regular poster.

I still don't have a job but I have a gajillion applications out so hopefully I'll here from something soon. My problem seems to be that even though I have a college degree I don't have experience and people don't want to hire me without experience which as been very very frustrating. Keep praying for me to find something soon or else I'm going to have to putting in an application to McDonalds.

Our House

So we have our house rented now. We love it and now the boxes are finally unpacked! It is right across the street from a really pretty park and almost in the middle of both towns so it doesn't take too long to get anywhere!
