Porcelain Throne

Let's just say that I was "royalty" on Wednesday as the stomach bug hit me hard and I stayed home all day. Now out of all 3 big sicknesses that have gone around here I've gotten all three of them.

On a lighter note...

Here are some Valentines day pictures from before our date on Saturday and of the cute little frog carter got me. I wish I had something more interesting to say but I really don't.

OH NO

So today at my daycare one of my toddlers went home with a 103 fever, another threw up this morning and her family has a stomach bug and another of one of my kids was vomiting and had diahrea all weekend long. So the chance of me getting sick again are pretty high which I am NOT looking forward to. So heaven help me, I cannot get sick again, and I won't....right???

Conference

On Thursday I went to a conference for one of my classes in Denton, TX. There were 15 girls who are students, and our one awkward, male teacher. It was a Thursday, Friday conference for Family Life Educators and it replaced about 5 class periods for us and if we didn't go we had to write a huge paper, so most of us chose to go. The conference was actually pretty interesting with the exception of a couple boring presentations but the best part of the 2 days was getting to know the girls better. I stayed in a hotel room with 4 other married girls and we had a great time talking and laughing so much. It was one of the girls first "sleep over" and thursday night as we were winding down she kept asking if we had to go to sleep because she wanted to stay awake and talk. Ironically she is also the one who is 7 months pregnant and should be getting her rest. We probably spent at least an hour that night watching her belly as her little baby boy wiggled and kicked and punched inside her stomache as we looked on in amazement and rested our hands on her trying to feel the little guy. It just amazes me how intricate the pregnancy process is as I'm going through this with two of my friends and it makes me wonder how somebody can doubt the existence of God when the intricate creation of a baby is such a miracle!!

I asked Carter if anything interesting has happend to him and his answer was "No".

I finally found a background that formats well and I like. Carter probably thinks it's too girly but until he starts posting on here I get to be in charge of it!!

New Design

I thought it was time for a change on here and since I'm looking forward to spring time I thought this page was appropriate. I'm not sure how much I will like it though because I'm having some formatting issues with it. So don't worry (since I'm sure you were) we aren't moving our site and it is still us!!

Sick of being Sick

This weekend was a bummer weekend, we had high hopes for a great date night and I was looking forward to getting our apartment into tip top shape. Instead, I faced constant nausea and a head that felt 3 times it's normal size due to sinus pressure. Poor Carter is probably getting tired of his wife always being a sicky. Thank goodness for urgent care though as I made my second appearance there in a week and they prescribed me some steroids (good think I'm not part of the athletic world), some anti-nausea pills (yay, now I feel like eating again), and a sinus spray. I can't wait to be feeling better again because I feel like I haven't been well in ages.

Poor Carter doesn't have too much interesting going on as of late but he is well and alive.

Flu Be Gone

This monday I woke up feeling awful so Carter took me to urgent care and the nurse was asking me questions and for some reason I had the hardest time answering her and/or thinking of the right answer. After taking my temperature she said, "well you're temperatures is 102.7 no wonder you're disoriented. She then shoved a q-tip stick up my nose and down my throat and had those tested. they said that my flu test showed positive right away. Isn't that exciting??? Luckily or maybe not they wrote me a perscription for tamiflu. The downside about that is the tamiflu leaves me feeling nauseous and it made me take a few trips to the toilet on Monday. I'm now feeling much better after spending all of Monday and Tuesday in bed but I'm still trying to take it easy so my immune system can catch up.

So far Carter hasn't caught it and lets hope he doesn't because that's the last thing we need right now.

The weekend is almost here and I don't think we'll be doing much.

TGIF

Another week down.

Another uneventful week for us really. Carter is better this week which is a vast improvement over his 102 fever for 3 days. I have a mysterious cold that comes and goes as it pleases but always leaves me with a nasty hurting cough at night. It snowed yesterday making today a slippery, wet, mushy mess. I already fell once on my way to class this morning and didn't even realize I was falling till I hit the ground.

Carter's work has been going good although he is working hard every night and is up for the position of Supervisor even though he's not sure if he wants it until the summer when he has more time. My work has been going good too except it consumes too much of my time between both my jobs and work.

Shannon went to Paris last weekend and I saw all her pics. I'm jealous but I've decided that I need to go back one day and do it right. I was there, but I didn't see have the things because of lack of time and money.

Our first round of tests was this week and next so wish us luck on that. However, we keep on telling ourselves that we can do it...last semester for me, one more for him. Ithink I can, I think I can, I think I can.

Sorry this entry was so piecey but that's just how my mind was working upon writing this.
