Presenting Cloris Leachman on Dancing with the Stars

Now I have been known to watch Dancing with the Stars and I really truly enjoy the show. This year I'm not overly crazy though about the celebs they have on the show but I'm watching it online at ABC.com anyways when I'm bored. Well while watching it I laughed harder while watching Cloris Leachman, the 80 something celeb, then I ever have while watching it before. Her dancing itself is not that great, but I didn't really expect it to be. However, her attempts at trying to Woo the judges was great, unlike anything another contestant has ever done. You can see for yourself here!!

Duct Tape has many uses

Carter has been wanting a new wallet for a while because he says his is "old." Well it appeared to still be in good shape so I told him he can just wait until Christmas. Apparently this was not a good enough answer because when I came home from work today he had made his own duct tape wallet. Tacky, Yes. Trashy, Yes. So stinkin cool that he could create this from tape, yes! When I asked him how he knew how to do it he said he looked up the instructions online...thank goodness for the world wide web!! Oh yeah, in case you didn't notice...he didn't think the duct tape gray looked good enough so he wrapped the outside with electrical tape, phew fashion crisis averted.

For all those interested in their own "special" wallet, we will be selling them for 5 bucks each and we'll even let you personalize your color. Hmmmm maybe we should open our own store on etsy...

Date Night

Carter pulled off his first suprise for me tonight...not for lack of trying previously but I usually always figure it out, or he's so excited that the ends up telling me before he can suprise me. All he told me was that we were leaving at 6 tonight and that it wouldn't cost us anything so as you might guess I was a little curious. Well the suprise was going to Jason's Deli which he paid for with his birthday money which was very sweet of him and then he took me to the movies. Well when we got there he was thinking there would be a big huge line and tons of people like there usually are, but that wasn't the case today...so as I walked up to get our tickets he stops me and says that he already has them, he went this afternoon and pre-bought them because it was the first night for it to show and he thought the place would be packed. So, he did a great sweet job of suprising me and it was a fun, relaxing, night out.

Oh yeah, we saw "My best friends girlfriend" and it was okay...lot's of foul language and a particular risque scene ruined any recommendation from me.

State Fair Time

Tuesday was 2 dollar admission day at the fair so we decided to go with a few friends and have this be our "big outing" for the month. We each got 20 bucks to spend on whatever our hearts desired! Mine was spent on my dinner of steak on a stick, a drink, and a funnel cake for dessert (this had been much anticipated). I pocketed the whole 3 bucks I had left over. I think Carter went into the negatives on his spending money and had to pull from his birthday money to help cover his losses. What was his big purchase you ask?? It was a $15 bag of glazed pecans...isn't that crazy...but he was totally looking forward to them and says they are the best thing ever and that the big bag was the better deal. So we each got our fair goodies and had a good time although I could have stood to stay a couple hours longer because we got there later and then the fair was closing so I didn't get to see the animals in the barns which is one of my favorite things. But, fun was had by all and Carter counted at least 5 fabulous mullets which is always a highlight of the oklahoma fair!

The sign behind this pig says "our pig doesn't wear lipstick" WHAT???? Carter found this funny.
We missed the birth of this baby goat by minutes...as weird as it is I was super dissapointed!

Yep there was a sea lion show...I loved it!

My friend Danielle's baby was lovin on this baby chick until it started banging on it's head!
Carter and his expensive nuts
Look sister, it's a Jackelope!

Z is for Za End

Okay that's pathetic, I know...but, I don't know what else to use for Z and I really just want to be done with this Alphabet of life thing. So now it's over, the finale, the end..woohoo!!!!

Y is for Yogurt

Now that we are on the path to our healthy eating lifestyle we have 2 huge things of yogurt in our fridge. One is low fat vanilla, and the other is fat free plain. What we once never stocked in our fridge now holds multiple purposes for us. The first is you can obviously eat it plain, or you can top it with fruit and granola, or our favorite use for it so far is to make smoothies!!! Every night after we are done working out together we come home and dump a variety of yummy stuff in our blender along with some yogurt and bam, a cold, refreshing, healthy smoothie! Even Carter likes them which is great!

X is for X-tra

X-tra stress that is because substituting which was my plan to make more money this semester doesn't seem like it is going to work out. This left me stressed and panicking trying to find something else so I am currently in the process of that but I finally have a few other options working out for me.

Carter's classes are going well so far and he thinks that they will be easy!
